Transferring domains to MAQ Techs from another registrar is easy. Follow the instructions below or take a look at our help article with step-by-step descriptions explaining the process.

1. Unlock the domain name you want to transfer from your current domain registrar.
2. Obtain an authorization code (also called an EPP code or transfer key) from your current registrar. If the authorization code does not appear in the account control panel or in other control panels, ask the current registrar to send it to you via email. ATTENTION! It is not always necessary to have an authorization code, e.g. when transferring national top-level domains (ccTLDs).
3. Verify the contact information associated with your domain name. By confirming the contact details, you ensure that you receive all communications sent to you by your current registrar during the domain transfer process.

When you transfer a domain, only the domain is moved to MAQ Techs. Other services associated with the domain, such as email or hosting services, will not be transferred, unless you choose to move them to MAQ Techs.

Domain transfers usually take 5-7 days to complete. Track the status of transfers by following these steps:

1. Log in to your MAQ Techs Transfers page.
2. Select Incoming Transfers if the domain is being transferred to your account. Or select Outbound Transfers if the domain is transferred from your account.
3. Select the different tabs to review the data for domains with a specific status. Or search for your domain in the search bar.
4. For some statuses, you need to take action. If so, it will appear next to the domain. Take a look at our guide on domain statuses to help you proceed with your transfer.

You will see a confirmation that your changes have been accepted.
